I love my Verizon wireless service. Over the weekend, I cut my monthly bill by at least $20. I moved down one tier in the data plan, but kept the same amount of data allowance. I also got my employment discount activated. Sweet.
Competition is always good for consumers, but not the case for shareholders. I don't see Verizon will stay as profitable as now. Did I mention that Masayoshi Son, the take-no-prisoner CEO of Sprint, is famous to disrupt the industry he is in? I also worry that an interest rate hike will inevitably hurt VZ stock. Though I enjoy the dividends so far, I've got to get out of VZ.
I kept some of the proceeds in cash and bought DOW with the rest. I just love DOW and have to build a big position of it.
